Iolani Boys, Punahou Girls win Cross Country Varsity Titles
The boys and girls cross country championships were held at Mid-Pacific Institute.
Boys Team Champions: Iolani – Intermediate, Punahou – Junior Varsity, Iolani – Varsity
Girls Team Champions: Punahou – Intermediate, Punahou – Junior Varsity, Punahou – Varsity
Saint Louis def. Punahou 27-23 for the D1 Football Title
Saint Louis defeated Punahou 27-23 and won the league’s division one football championship playoff game in front of 10,478 fans at Aloha Stadium.
Saint Louis advances to the HHSAA football playoffs in November, it is their first appearance since 2010.
Iolani def. KS-Kapalama for the D1 Girls Volleyball Title
Iolani (first round winner) defeated Kamehameha-Kapalama (second round winner via playoff) 25-17, 19-25, 27-25, 27-25 to win the league’s overall championship for girls varsity division one volleyball. Both teams shall advance to participate in the HHSAA Girls Division One Volleyball Tournament.
KS-Kapalama def. Iolani 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 in 2nd Round Playoff
Kamehameha-Kapalama defeated Iolani 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 to advance to the final of the second round playoffs. Kamehameha-Kapalama will face Punahou and the winner of that match will playoff against Iolani for the overall league title.
